Business Requirements
- ABN (Australian Business Number)
- Public Liability Insurance
- Personal Accident & Sickness Insurance
Legal & Compliance
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
- Working With Children Check (if working with NDIS participants under 18)
- Legal right to work in Australia
Transport Requirements
- Own vehicle
- Valid WA driver’s licence
Training Requirement
- Infection Control Cleaning Training – HLTINF001
Infection Control Training
Subcontract cleaners working in support environments must hold infection control training suitable for NDIS and aged care cleaning environments.
Required certification:
HLTINF001 – Comply with Infection Prevention and Control Policies and Procedures
This training is typically completed as a short online course (approximately 2–3 hours).
Physical Requirements of the Role
Cleaning work is physically demanding.
Subcontract cleaners must be able to safely perform duties including:

- repetitive bending and reaching
- lifting cleaning equipment and supplies
- vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing
- standing and moving for extended periods
Applicants must confirm they are physically capable of performing these duties safely.
Subcontractor Induction
All subcontract cleaners must complete a CleanWerx subcontractor induction before commencing work.
The induction covers:
- service procedures
- documentation requirements
- professional cleaning standards
Subcontract cleaners must be prepared to follow established procedures and maintain consistent service standards for recurring clients.
Documents Required at Interview
Applicants invited to interview must bring documentation verifying the above requirements.
